Du Gia Waterfall in Ha Giang has become a popular destination for international tourists, especially in the late months of the year.
Located in Tien Village, Du Gia Commune, Yen Minh District, the waterfall stands about 6 meters tall and cascades into a deep, crystal-clear pool surrounded by pristine and untouched natural scenery. This unique spot draws numerous foreign visitors who come to relax, swim, and experience cliff jumping.
Visitor numbers have surged since October, as the weather has cleared after the rainy season. Many international groups choose Du Gia as a stopover on their journey to explore Ha Giang and Dong Van. Tourists often climb the rocky edges to reach the top of the waterfall, jumping from heights of 6 meters or from lower points at about 3.5 meters, creating an exhilarating and immersive connection with nature.
Each day, Du Gia Waterfall welcomes hundreds of visitors who come to sightsee and swim. Homestays and guesthouses in the area have become busier, particularly in the afternoon hours from 3 to 4 PM—considered the ideal time to enjoy the scenery and waterfall activities. To reach the waterfall, visitors can choose to travel by motorbike or car, following the route from National Highway 4C through roads DT181 and DT176, before turning into Du Gia Commune and walking a short distance from the parking area.
Visitors are advised to exercise caution as the terrain around the waterfall is rugged, with large rocks, narrow crevices, and deep water. Since this is an unregulated tourist site, warning signs have been installed in hazardous areas. For safety, it is recommended to have a local guide or resident accompany the trip and to avoid attempting cliff jumping or risky activities without the necessary skills.
